Description

"Night of WWII declaration"
May not be historically correct.

"People frantically ran around, like nothing you've ever seen.
The main Sodor port was littered with vehicles, crates and precious cargo to help with what was to come.
Crowds gathered around the two engines, one was the biggest and fastest in which to ensure the safety of all passengers and the other, small, speedy and strong, to ensure cargo reached the correct destination on time.
Men arrived in armoured trucks ready to clamber aboard the ship that would take them to their places of service, and women, after saying their goodbyes hurriedly jumped into taxis that would take them to one of the numerous Sudrian factories.
Sobbing, children said what could be there final farewell to the people that largely secured their safety and boarded the paint dashed carriages.
The express engine, Number 4 was nicknamed Gordon, and he sat grumbling impatiently to the generic branch tank.
"Things aren't the same, little Thomas," he groaned, "I used to be right on time! Now look at me..."
"I find it rather exciting," said Thomas nervously, as his fireman made his final checks, "I mean it's different and we've never done it before, maybe you can show the children your, "True Blue".
As smoke bellowed from his chimney, and his pistons started to pump, Thomas laughed quietly.
"Maybe I will get to come out of my station yard and see the world after all."
As he rattled away from the clustered dockside and out of site, Gordon realised what Thomas had said to him.
""True Blue"," he muttered, "O' the Indignity!""
